Intro To Us

If you have known me for any extended period of time, you would know that I love children. I always have. I was the little girl who didn’t play with dolls, only babies. You could find me next to any mom who recently had a baby at church. Since I was a young girl, I knew that I wanted to be married and have a large family.
3 years ago Nathan and I were married. We wanted to start a family right away. Unfortunately, we encountered many problems. And after many doctors visits I was diagnosed with PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome). Right away, we started with fertility medications. After discovering the medications were not working, we were faced with the realization that having a baby of our own may not be possible.

This awareness was devastating.  My childhood dream would not come true. After many months of struggling with jealousy and anger (mostly on my part) God showed us that there is another way to accomplish our dream. Part of our journey in accepting infertility was the realization that what we wanted most was to have a family and be parents, not simply pregnancy. God has showed us that adoption is the way to accomplish this. - Meghan

I feel that God has placed me with the wife that he intended me to have. God has given me the desire to expand my family with children.  After Meghan was diagnosed with infertility, my heart was sad but mostly for her. I knew she has always wanted to be a mother. After many long conversations and lots of prayers, God showed us that adoption is how we will grow our family. I eagerly look forward to the day that we get to bring our baby home and can’t wait to raise our baby in a Godly home. -Nathan

Unfortunately there are millions of kids in the United States alone whose parents are unable or unwilling to provide a loving home for them. Adoption is so amazing because it takes a misplaced life and places it in an environment to be loved. Families were designed to be the safe environment for a child to grow up knowing they're loved and cared for. It is such a wonderful opportunity to be able to extend that to a child who is unable to experience it otherwise.
Adoption changes a child's identity from left-behind, alone, abandoned, and unwanted to loved, cared for, and part of a family. Regardless of what happened causing them to be orphaned - whatever child God gives us will literally be chosen to be part of our family. This is a crazy, awesome feeling - even as we've been adopted and "reborn" into God's family - to offer that same invitation and love to a child.

The adoption process can be a very stressful time. We believe that God has shown us the right adoption agency to begin this process with. We now need to begin to start raising money to complete our goal of 25 thousand dollars to be able to bring home our child.  As we start on this adoption process, we ask you to pray that God continues to show us his will and we follow it eagerly in this journey. Also, we would like to ask you to pray fully consider donating any amount of money to help bring our baby home. Please follow our journey by visiting (http://meghanperez.blogspot.com).

  1. Dear Meghan and Nathan, firstly, I am so sad about your situation, because I want a baby for over 2 years and we do everything for that, except ICSI (Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection). We (me and my husband) did all the test about pregnancy and there is nothing wrong with us about having a baby. But unfortunately we couldn't have a baby for a long time. Doc.s say that we are in the inexplicable infertility group (I really don't know how to explain in English,It has a meaning just like that in Turkish:)), so we decided to have a baby by trying ICSI and now we started madications about it. Have you ever try it? Because I heard that it's a good way for having a baby if you have pcos. I will be following your blog, and praying for you, too.
    Love, Derya.
